I promise the rest of the Cali vacation will be coming soon and some more interesting things. To be honest I couldn't get logged in to this stupid thing for over a week. Anyway I am officially a rocket scientist and I figured it out!!!

California Day 1
My flight out on Wednesday went ok, due to bad snow storms in Colorado my flight was delayed leaving OK and CO so I didn't get to CA until about 9:30 was supposed to be there by 7:30. Oh the unpredictable world of flying!! Oh wait I almost forgot about the plane they put us on from OK-CO.....I sit down on the plane and look out to my right and there is a freakin propeller!!! OMG!! Let me just tell all of you I am not a huge fan of flying if anything weird happens or there is any kind of turbulence I tend to freak out but it is necessary to get me to Cali in a reasonable amount of time so I continue to do it. This tiny plain reminds me of a pedal jumper those things are so scary to me my point is I do not like them and if I never have to get on one again it will be too soon.
Friday morning I am awake semi-bright and early, Rebecca had been trying to get me up since around 7 it just didn't happen. We made a quick stop by Lee's Sandwiches for breakfast and we were on our way to LA. Our first stop has to be China Town for purses!!! We get there and the normal guy that is there (okay I say normal because I have been there 3 times now) wasn't there he is a little flamboyant but at least he helps us and shows us all of his new bags. This guy completely ignores us so needless to say I only found 2 bags (1 was from another shop) there weren't as many to choose from so I must go back very soon.
Next stop is Hollywood last time we went there I had a blast!! We got there and went and took some pics with the wanna be actors the Michael Jackson guy had something scarily wrong with his makeup but I had to take a pic anyway. Then Rebecca and I decide that we have always wanted to take a Hollywood Tour so we haggle with the guy and each get a 2.5-3 hour star homes tour for $20 great deal since I think he started at $60 (Rebecca should be so proud, she has taught me well I even bargained with the lady selling purses at Quail Springs Mall). We find out the driver just starred in an upcoming movie (I think he's kinda hot, Rebecca doesn't share my opinion) can't wait to see if it comes to OK, I will definitely be watching it!!! Anyway the guy makes lots of attempts to be funny I feel like most of the time I'm the only one who got the jokes?? So we go by some celebrities houses (see my facebook for all pics) we go up in the hills to see the Hollywood sign, that was awesome and I got to see MJ's house that was the bestest for me!!! The only drawback to the tour was the half van (top cut off) was covered with a canopy (which we thought would be good for no sunburn) but it was FREEZING!!! We were driving fairly fast at some times and it was very cool.....anyway we survived and overall great experience I would suggest that everyone do it at least once!!!
Then before we leave Hollywood we wanted to go to Madame Tussaud's. Rebecca had never been to a wax museum so we definitely had to go.....it was great I didn't officially see any real celebs this time but I got to take pics with a lot of wax molds who looked like the real thing. We had plans to go to Venice and Santa Monica this same day but it didn't happen since the tour took up so much time. Oh yeah my camera battery died and I got to spend $5 for 2 AA batteries...nice right?? I thought it was a great deal! So we have had enough by that day we go home to jump in the hot tub get our suits on go down to the pool and the hot tub is.....cold!!! UGH!! So frustrating....that was part of our plan for a lot of the down time but it never got warm...so sad. Here are some pics below of our Hollywood Day Trip I'm going to post separate blogs for each day (well at least the busy ones) or these will get to long. Also a video of the lady singing in Hollywood...too funny.

I Can See The Light Of A Clear Blue Morning
This post will be in blue to celebrate the title!! Okay I swore I was never going to share the photos below due to the fact that I look absolutely hideous but I figured a few people might get a kick out of it so.....January 6, 2010 I had lasik and by the next morning I was seeing 20/20. After I had the surgery my eye dr informed me that I was legally blind prior to my surgery. What? Are you kidding me? All this time I could have been selecting legally blind on my taxes?? I was tempted to select that button but figured I may get audited so I resisted.

Anyway the operation if you can really call it that went pretty well. They seat you just outside the "operating room" they get you prepared you know give you valium (btw I need more than 1 because 1 does nothing for me), clean your eyes with betadine and remember at this time I have been wearing my glasses for over a month (I am not a happy camper). Anyway I was supposed to be next and they take away my glasses clean the area around my eyes with betadine and tell me I can't have my glasses back. Okay no big deal I can handle this for a few minutes.....la la la my most beautiful best friend Kellie was awesome enough to take a vacation day acutally 2 and laugh at me as you all probably will after seeing the photos below. So I wait and wait and still waiting it has been like 45 mins and I can't see my hand in front of my face. I had to keep asking Kellie what people looked like that were coming in you don't realize how great eyesight is until you have to do without it. After 45 mins they come out and tell me the laser didn't charge correctly the night before so I have to wait....ugh well I guess I would rather be blind for a little longer than for a lifetime so the procedure goes off without a hitch here are the photos you have been waiting for.....how embarassing!!
Objects In Photo Are Smaller Than They Appear
In my humble opinion, way smaller!!! Ugh, this is where I spend at least 40 hours a week doesn't look too appealing does it?? This photo makes it look spacious but it is most definitely not!! I would love to be able to not rely solely on my income and be able to do some volunteer work or something that I would truly enjoy but that unfortunately doesn't pay well. I don't feel like I'm asking too much because I would love to volunteer!! If I didn't have to spend more than half of my life at work it would be a true blessing....any ideas?? And yes I am already on the hunt for a very wealthy man that will allow me to do this. A work friend and I were talking about this she is my age oh wait no today is her b-day she is 28 anyway we both agreed we wanted to be stay-at-home moms without the kids we both decided that we don't want to be required to have kids to be able to stay at home.....asking too much? I think not!
Delays....
I know I complain about others not posting often enough and now I am doing the same thing!! Granted I was on vacation for a week and have been catching up on a lot of other stuff but trust me there are lots of posts coming!! Til then...something beautiful to look at!!
